Colour television commercial for Guinness Extra Stout. Advert opens with father and son preparing bread dough in a family bakery. Shots of Guinness being poured in tandem with images of dough rising. Advert concludes with view of family eating a meal with the freshly baked bread and bottles of Guinness. VO: "When you're making something to eat, nothing goes down better than a bottle of Guinness". Advert opens with with view of a man rolling his eyes as his friend returns to their table in a bar carrying a bottle of Guinness and a half pint of bitter. Friend: "Now here's a little trick that will amaze you. How to turn a bottle of Guinness into half a bitter." The friend proceeds to pour the bottle of Guinness into the bitter, narrating his actions in the process. He holds up the finished product to his friends and announces: "This trick is called the black and tan." Another friend seated at the table takes a sip and advert concludes with freeze frame of his face as he pronounces: "Magic". Agency: JWT.

Colour television commercial for Guinness Extra Stout. Advert opens with view of an orchestra and conductor on stage. As the orchestra members raise their hands to begin playing, it becomes apparent that they are holding bottles of Guinness Extra Stout and bottle openers rather than instruments. Orchestra members proceed to open bottles and pour Guinness into Wellington goblet glasses in time to the music of Strauss's Wiener Blut Op. 354 waltz, interspersed with close up views of a bottle of Guinness being poured. Advert concludes as music ends and orchestra members perform a standing ovation before drinking from their glasses of Guinness. Agency: JWT. Director: Tony Lawson. Production Company: Lawson-Duffley. Shots of male choir members singing 'Myfanwy' in unison interspersed with views of a pint of Draught Guinness being poured into a Waterford tankard. Advert concludes with views of choir members enjoying Draught Guinness ina pub. VO: "How does a pint of Draught Guinness sound right now?" The choir featured was the Gwalia Male Choir, the only surviving members of which were Steve Davies and Russ Jones as of 2018. Agency: JWT. Director: Tony Scott. Production Company: RSA (Two) Ltd. Colour television commercial for Guinness Extra Stout. Advert opens with view of a bottle of Guinness being removed from a bar counter and poured into a branded Victoria goblet. Over continuous pouring shots, VO states: "When you get a bottle of Guinness and you start to pour it out, you see the first smooth rush. You can hear the liveliness of the beer. And as you carefully straighten the glass, you see that separation of black and white that leaves you with a Guinness so perfect that it's almost too good to drink". Advert concludes with view of man as he finishes pouring and looks to camera in disbelief before raising the glass to drink from, saying: "You're joking!". Final VO: "Well, almost". Agency: JWT.
