Harp television advertisement 'North America' from the 'Home is where the Harp is' campaign in which an Irishman writes a letter home about his travels in North America. Colour advert opens with two men sitting at a bar with a Harp mount, one man holding a letter. The letter is seen in close-up as a voiceover reads the words. The writer is an Irish emigrant. Dissolve to a bustling city at night, as two men enter a pub and watch a folk musician play guitar. They later share a drink with the musician and his girlfriend. A tankard is filled with lager from a tap as the voiceover concludes ‘That’s what I miss most about home – the pint of Harp.’ The reader of the letter is handed a tankard of Harp and smiles in close-up before he takes a drink, with caption ‘Home is where the Harp is’.
