Harp television advertisement 'Makes a Party' from the 'Talking about Pints’ campaign in which people are heard talking about Harp lager over scenes of a house party. Colour advert opens with a woman at her front door welcoming visitors, with caption ‘Talking about Harp’. Some of the visitors are carrying four-pack cans and six-pack bottles of Harp, one of which is placed in front of camera. Over shots of the visitors enjoying a busy party in the house is the sound of people explaining why they like to drink Harp and how convenient it is to take to a get-together. Cans and bottles of Harp are kept in the fridge. A woman passes around a plate of sandwiches. A woman in close-up looks over the top of a glass as she drinks, with caption ‘Harp’ and voiceover ‘Harp – it says a lot for your taste, it does a lot for your thirst.’ Credits: Director - Brian Ash, Camera - Bestick Williams, Ash & Algar/Scope Films; UTV. Colour advert opens with a pint being filled from a tap in close-up, with caption ‘Talking about Harp’. Over brief shots of men drinking tankards and women drinking glasses of lager in a pub, a man sawing a fallen tree with a handsaw, a mechanic examining a car in a workshop and people carrying six-pack bottles, is the sound of people with Northern Irish accents explaining why they like to drink Harp.
